ESD FIELD TRIP/PICNIC AT QURRAIYAH Al-UQAIR COASTLINES
On October 29, 2005, a group of ESD faculty members, students, staff, and their family members participated in a day-long field trip/beach party at Qurraiyah Al-Uqair coastlines of the Arabian Gulf, approximately 120 km south of Dhahran. ( SEE PHOTOS ) Dr. Aldo Vesnaver – A Geophysical Consultant at Saudi Aramco participated in teaching part of the graduate course GEOP501 (Reflection Seismology) during the Fall semester of 2005 at the Earth Sciences Department. This course is a core course in the M.S. program in Geophysics. The course instructor was Dr. Abdullatif Al-Shuhail, Assistant Professor of Geophysics at the department. This participation is in line with the continuing collaboration between the department and the Exploration Organization of Saudi Aramco
