His Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef Patronizes the 33rd Career Day

On Monday April 25, 2016, His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province inaugurates the 33rd annual Career Day organized by the King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals. This 4-Day event was set up with the cooperation of a hundred public and private organizations and companies.
HRH hailed the supporters of this event such as Saudi Aramco, Saudi Arabia Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC), Samba Bank and the National Commercial Bank.
H.E. Dr. Khaled S. Al-Sultan expressed his pride with the patronage of His Highness Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz to the 33rd Career Day. He described this patronage as an appreciation for KFUPM role in the training and development of human resources who are capable to participate in the national development process and it is an extension of his continues interest of the university activities pointing to the patronage of the 46th graduation ceremony.

H.E. thanked the participating institutes and companies, appreciating their keenness for re-participation in the Career Day that reflects the excellent relations between the sectors of the society. It, also, illustrates the outstanding level of KFUPM graduates who are in high demand of the job market and have become an obvious choice of these institutions and companies because of their high level of scientific and academic qualification.
Dr. Mesfer Al-Zahrani, Dean of Student Affairs and Chairman of the Organizing Committee pointed that the Career Day is a valuable opportunity for public and private sectors to attract the most accomplished graduates, KFUPM graduates. This event has many aims: to define the university courses, educate students for their future careers in various disciplines, provide an opportunity for employers to familiarize students with activities and establish a cooperative partnership based on closer ties between the university and work. Other goals include offering an awareness program to students and teaching them the effective ways of finding a job, writing CVs and learning interview skills.

The Career Day is one of the leading ideas adopted by the University, and it was first organized on 1984 with the participation of 14 companies and institutions. Number of participants increased year by year. This asserts the success of the University to develop a special relationship with the community sectors as well as a leading role of KFUPM in the preparation and development of human resources and its success in providing the labor market with the required skilled technical resources.
