About ASEC Series
The main objective of the Arab Structural Engineering Conference (ASEC) is to provide a forum for the structural engineering researchers and engineers to discuss their recent research results and applications in the area of structural engineering. The conference is held every two or three years in an Arab Country. The first conference was held in Egypt in 1985, the second was held in Jordan in 1987, the third was in the United Arab Emirates in 1989, the fourth was held in Egypt in1991, the fifth was held in Libya in 1993, the sixth was held in Syria in 1995, the seventh was in Kuwait in1997, the eighth was held in Egypt in 2000, the ninth was held in the United Arab Emirates in 2003, the tenth was held in Kuwait in 2006. The current conference is the eleventh which is going to be hosted by King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM), Dhahran, Saudi Arabia during the period from 25 to 27 October 2009.
