Objectives:

·        Carry out research on wastewater utilization for irrigation

·        Pilot plant studies in Environmental Engineering on wastewater and its recycling

Major Equipment:

·        Wastewater and groundwater reservoirs (2 m ´ 8 m ´ 2 m)

·        Pump house

·        Two separate farm area (25m ´ 25m) for groundwater & wastewater

·        Two separate sprinkler systems for groundwater & wastewater

·        Two separate drip systems

·        Field laboratory

Major Projects:

·        Wastewater utilization feasibility research (CE/Water/17)

·        Comparison of drip & sprinkler systems using wastewater(SANCST AR-6-145)

·        M.S. thesis work, e.g. soil conditioning through algae applications using surface irrigation method
