Backup solutions at ITC are of two types, Data backup and Image backup. There is a major difference between these two backup techniques. The Data backup will only do file level backup, whereas the image backup will take the complete image of the machine, however the administrator has the option to select the disk partitions to be imaged . On restoration of these backups, the data backup can only restore the files needed, whereas the Image backup can restore the machine with Operating System, the application and the disk partition(s).
