Setup on your Android Device
Set up email, calendar, and contacts:
You can connect to your Office 365 or other Exchange-based email on an
Android phone. When you set up an Exchange account on your phone, you’ll be able
to access and synchronize your email, calendar, and contacts.
From your phone, select Apps
> Settings > Accounts and sync > Add account > Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync.
Type your Office 365 email, for example
firstname.lastname@example.org, and your password, and select
Enter the following account information and
- Email Address: Type your full email address in this
box. For example
- Domain\Username: Type your full email address in this
box. For example, if your email address is email@example.com, type
kfupm.edu.sa \ firstname.lastname@example.org. Your username is your full email
- Password: Use the password that you use to access your
- Exchange Server: Use the address of your Exchange server.
Use outlook.office365.com for your server name.
If you get a remote security administration
warning, select OK.
As soon as your phone verifies the server
settings, the Account options screen displays. Select from the available
options, and then select Next. Sync email, calendar, and contacts are selected
Email checking frequency the default value is
Automatic (push). When you select this option, email messages will be sent
to your phone as they arrive. We recommend only selecting this option if you
have an unlimited data plan.
Amount to synchronize this is the amount of mail
you want to keep on your mobile phone. You can choose from several length
options, including One day, Three days, and One week.
Notify me when email arrives if you select this
option, your mobile phone will notify you when you receive a new email
Sync contacts from this account if you select this option, your
contacts will be synchronized between your phone and your account.
Type a name for this account and the name you want displayed
when you send e-mail to others. Select Done to complete the email setup
and start using your account.
Install OneDrive for Business app
1. From your Android phones and tablet, go to the Play Store,
and search for OneDrive Microsoft.
2. Click the Install button in the app, and
accept the required permissions by the App. As soon as the app is
installed, it appears on your home screen.
3. To sign in, use your Office 365 Email username
and click Sign in.
The page will direct you to the login page of KFUPM,
Enter your Password.
You are singed in and you can manage your files and documents.
