Install Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client on Windows 7 or later


 

Verify if you have an old VPN client installed


You are using the old VPN client if your software uses icons that look like this:
 
 
If you still have the old version of Cisco client installed, you need to uninstall it before you upgrade! Click here for Instructions
 
 

Download and Installation


  • Download VPN Client for Windows
  • Save file to desired location when prompted.
  • Launch the setup file.
  • Click Run in the Internet Explorer-Security Warning dialog box.
 
 
  • Click Next in the Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client Setup dialog box.
 
 
  • Select I accept the terms in the License Agreement, and click Next
 
 
  • Click Install.
 
 
  • Click Finish when installation is complete
 
 
  • Click on Windows Start button, and then click All Programs
  • In the list of programs:
    • Click on Cisco folder
    • Select Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client folder
    • Select Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client
 
 
  • Type webvpn.kfupm.edu.sa in the "Connect to:" field then Click Connect
 
 
  • Enter your KFUPM Internet and password when prompted.
 
 
  • If connection is successful you will see the following message.
 
 
 

Connecting and Disconnecting


The AnyConnect client will also load in your "Task Bar", and can be right-clicked from there to either disconnect or connect. To open the program in the future, click the "Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client" icon on your Start menu, under "All Programs".
