A seven-man delegation from the National University of Singapore visited the department The 3-days visit was aimed at establishing research collaboration between the NUS, CHE department at KFUPM and ARAMCO.

Events marking day one of the visit begin with a presentation by the Chairman of the Chemical Engineering department at KFUPM, Prof. Adnan Alamer highlighting the research areas/facilities of the department.  This was followed by presentations by the various research groups in the department.   The organizational structure and research focus of the ARAMCO R & D was presented by Prof. Esam Hamad while the leader of the NUS delagation, Prof. Karimi presented the research focus of the NUS.  The rest of the day witnessed presentations by members of the NUS delegation and ARAMCO experts.

A team of ARAMCO R & D staff was on hand to receive the NUS-KFUPM team the second day. The team had a tour of the ARAMCO  R & D facilities at the ARAMCO Headquarter in Saudi Arabia.  The delegation visited H.E, the Rector before departing to Singapore.
