Dr. Abdulaziz Tabbakh

Assistant Professor, COE Department

Every day, our lives become more dependent on computing systems. From simple standalone systems like home appliances, TVs, to complicated systems like the computers in transportation and medical care. More than 98% of processors applied today are in embedded systems, and are no longer visible to the customer as 'computers' in the ordinary sense. New processors and methods of processing, sensors, actuators, communications and infrastructures are 'enablers' for this very pervasive computing. In this talk, we will introduce the embedded computer systems. We will highlight the differences between embedded computing systems and general purpose computing systems. Then we are going to talk briefly about the future of Embedded Systems and their job market in Saudi Arabia.
