Abstract:
With the advancement in technologies and communication, Internet of Things (IoT) concept is being realized and used in various domains like smart cities and smart homes. As the IoT devices grow in numbers, the security challenges grow proportionally. The key challenge in securing IoT devices is the limited and constrained resources (compute, storage, power ... etc.). In this seminar, I will give an overview of different security threats on IoT and their impact with focus on jamming attacks. Then will focus on one type of jamming attack which is reactive jamming and discuss a countermeasure solution which is Countermeasure Detection and Consistency Algorithm (CDCA) as proposed by Fadele et. al [1].
