Abstract:
Demand response management (DRM) plays a key role in the future of smart grids. The ability to precisely estimate the electricity demand of individual houses is critical to the delivery of these newer services. With the progressive roll-out of smart meters in many places throughout the world, new prospects for lowering energy efficiency and increasing users' information and control over their electricity consumption have emerged. This talk presents a Neural Network forecasting approach for smart grids demand side management. It develops a new neural network mathematical framework and compares it to state-of-the art implementations. Experimental results show the ability of the proposed neural network framework to provide accurate and reliable energy demand forecasting.
