Purposes and Functions
The Research Committee shall have the responsibility of advising the Rector with regard to the University support of individual, department and research projects.
Specifically, the Research Committee shall:
- Evaluate and recommend to the Rector all aspects for University support of individual research projects.
- Assist in maintaining a complete and accurate archive of all research reports, published or in manuscript form, which have received University sponsorship, subsidy, or support. This archive shall be kept in a special room in the University library.
- Have representation on the Editorial Board of the Arabian Journal of Science and Engineering. The Chairman of the Research Committee shall serve as an ex-officio AJSE Board Member.
- Evaluate and recommend to the Rector on all applications for sabbatical leave.
- Evaluate and recommend to the Rector on all applications for conference attendance.
