Job Description
Architecture:
With specializations/expertise in the areas of Graphic Communication (Manual Illustration, Freehand Sketching and Analogue Graphic Representations). Design Practice, Regional/Environment Architecture, Heritage Conservation, History and Theory of Architecture, and Architectural Criticism.
City & Regional Planning:
With specializations/expertise in the areas of Computer Aided Planning & GIS.
Sustainable Urban Design and Planning, Real Estate Development and Planning,
Urban Geography, Quantitative Methods
For the following positions:
1. Professor
2. Associate Professor
3. Assistant Professor
Job Requirements:
Qualifications: The applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Architecture or City & Regional Planning and have a strong track record of published research, relevant teaching experience at the university level, should have the capabilities to teach graduate & undergraduate courses, and industrial work experience Is strongly
desired.
Salary and Benefits:
Two-year renewable contract, competitive salary based on qualifications and experience, free furnished
air-conditioned on-campus housing unit with free essential utilities and maintenance. Subject to University policy, the appointment includes the following additional benefits: Air tickets to Dammam on appointment; annual repatriation air tickets to Dammam for the faculty and up to three of his dependents; tuition fees for school-age dependent children enrolled in local schools; local transportation allowance; two-months' paid summer vacation, end-of service benefits, and free access to recreation facilities.
KFUPM campus has a range has a range of facilities including medical & dental clinic, teaching and research support facilities such as an extensive library acquisitions and library databases, computing facilities, smart classrooms, and research and teaching laboratories. The campus is within a very short distance from the cities of Dammam and Al-Khobar.
