Socio-Cultural Analysis of Third Places  through GIS: A case study of Al-Khobar

Funded by: Deanship of Scientific Research, KFUPM

Previous:

a) Title of the Project: Developing a network of leisure, recreation and sport facilities for campus residents. Funded by: Office of planning and quality (OPQ); Duration: March 2008 – December, 2009 (I worked for last 4 months); Role: Co-Investigator

 

b) Theme of the Project: Data analysis to detect plate (tectonic) motions and to monitor the seismic activity in Bangladesh and surrounding countries, as well as to disseminate information of earthquakes to the government and the public; Funded by: Columbia University, New York and national Universities in Bangladesh; Duration: 2003-2004; Role: Data analyst (with statistical tools); Laboratory: DGPS (Differential Global Positioning System), Seismograph Station, GIS and Remote Sensing Lab at Khulna University, Bangladesh.

 

c) Title of the Project: Sustainable Land use Planning and Environmental Management for Salinity affected Regions of Bangladesh: A Case Study on Rupsha Thana (higher education link program between Urban and Rural Planning Discipline, Khulna University and University of Newcastle upon Tyne, UK); Duration: 2002-2003; Funded by: British Council and DFID; Role: Co-Investigator.
