Online courses at KFUPM are hosted on
WebCT. Since the adoption of WebCT, the e-learning Center has launched an
extensive training program to help faculty members to utilize the system
effectively. The chart below shows the growth in utilizing the system over
the past years.

Based on these components, KFUPM
online courses may be divided into two categories:

Partial Online Courses:

Comprehensive online courses:
Both of these categories of online
courses have various level of utilization of communications tools and
assessment and feedback methods. Course activities in both categories are
managed by WebCT. However, comprehensive online courses contain all course
material as opposed to the partial online courses which contain only part of
the course material.
