Under the patronage of H.E. the Rector, the Deanship of Graduate Studies in collaboration with
the Deanship of Student Affairs announces the Graduate Seminar Day 2012 to be held on Feb.
12, 2012. This Graduate Seminar Day is a continuation of the annual seminar series initiated
by the Deanship in 2007. The event will be inaugurated by H.E. the Rector on Sunday
Feb. 12, 2012 at 08:15 AM in Building 20 Auditorium.
The Graduate Seminar Day 2012 will have the following features:
· Presentations by graduate students of KFUPM as a preparation for the 3rd Saudi Student
Conference to be held in April 2012.
· Presentations organized in 7 parallel Sessions distributed over KFUPM campus.
· Presentations will cover wide range of topics from Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Earth
Sciences, Environmental Design, Computer Sciences and Engineering; Aerospace, Industrial,
Civil, Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical and Petroleum Engineering; Management Information
Systems and Accounting, Finance, Economics, and Architecture.
· Presentations will be based on research projects or critical reports on ongoing projects or
recently finished studies by graduate students.
All presentations will be evaluated by scientific committees. Students whose work will be
accepted shall receive the university incentive and their paper abstract will appear in the Book of
Abstracts of the Graduate Seminar Day 2012.
The final program will be announced on Feb 11, 2012 and circulated by email as well as
Your active participation will encourage graduate students and will hopefully help in exchanging
research ideas and promoting interdisciplinary research. We shall appreciate it if you could
