Lasers and their Applications
This group is based on an existing
KFUPMLaser group, which was established
about 20 years ago and has an excellent record in basic and applied
research. The group will continue its research activities in these areas:
Atomic and molecular laser spectroscopy, synthesis of nano-sctructure
materials using laser ablation technique, Laser remote sensing, development
of laser based analytical techniques, laser induced photo-catalysis and
their applications in petrochemical industry, waste water treatment and
other applications of lasers.
The group will also serve the needs of Saudi Arabian scientists, engineers,
and students in the field of laser. It will offer its consultation services
in the laser-related fields to different governmental agencies and local
industries.
