  • Introduction


The Science & Technology Unit (STU) at King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM) was established within the Deanship of Research (DSR) in the year 2008. This unit deals with projects for which King Abdul Aziz City for Science & Technology (KACST), Riyadh, serves as the funding body. This unit serves as a link between KACST and KFUPM for the overseeing of these projects. The main aim of this unit is to manage, monitor and ensure proper implementation of all projects awarded under the following seven KACST Research Programs: 
  1. Graduate Students Grant Program 
  2. Basic Science Research Grant Program 
  3. Applied Research Grant Program 
  4. Innovation Research Grant Program 
  5. Directed Research Grant Program 
  6. Industrial Development Program 
  7. Industrial Innovation Centers ​
