INTRODUCTION
The Deanship of
Research at King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM) is
organizing the 3rd Research Day on Sunday, May 12, 2013.
This event is in continuation to the successful two earlier events organized by
KFUPM to publicize the research activities of the University. The theme of the
3rd KFUPM Research Day is “University and Industry Collaboration”
(U&I Collaboration). Under this theme, experts from the industry and
academia are being invited to speak on the advantages of university-industry
collaboration to the economy of the Kingdom. A keynote speech will be
delivered by an international speaker with vast experience in the theme of the
event. Selected faculty and researchers from the University will share
their success stories on collaboration with the local and international
organizations. Representatives from Saudi Aramco and SABIC have been
invited to speak on opportunities of U& I collaboration.
An exhibition is also
planned as part of this event. The academic departments and research
centers of the university and some prominent local industries will be
exhibiting their research capabilities, with focus on U&I collaboration.
OBJECTIVE
The objective
of organizing this event is to
enable faculty, researchers, graduate students , and guests to
learn about the research activities in the University and build
an environment of focused and innovative research.
