RESEARCH COUNCIL (ACADEMIC YEAR 2011 – 2012)
Purpose
& Function
Suggest
the Annual Research Plan of the University and prepare the budget for
the scientific council.
Suggest
the procedures and the rules for research in the
University.
Approval
of research projects evaluation and procedure.
Suggest
the means of cooperation with the research centers outside the
University.
Supervise
the cooperation between the research centers within the university and
departments to avoid overlaps of research
projects.
Recommend
the approval of research publications according to the rules of the
university.
Encourage
the faculty members and researchers to conduct innovative research and
assure the research needs and
facilities.
Facilitate
the cooperation between the local and international research centers and
the university research centers.
Establish
a database center for the research projects within the university and
exchange information with universities
and research centers.
Study
the Deanship of Research annual report before sending it to
the Vice Rector for Graduate Studies and Research for approval.
Supervise
the outside funded research projects.
Form
sub-committees, if needed.
Study
the forwarded cases from H.E. the Rector or Vice Rector for Graduate
Studies & Research.
