​The idea for AE was launched over 20 years ago, and the proposal for the Aerospace Engineering Department was initiated in 1404 H (1984 G). Aeronautical Engineering option was opened in Mechanical Eng​ineering Department (ME) in 1406 H (1986 G). A separate Aerospace Engineering Program was started in ME Department in 1419 H (1998 G). Aerospace Engineering Department was established in 1​​423 H (2​002 G) as the first full-fledged Aerospace (Aeronautics a​nd Astronautics) engineering department in the kingdom and in the Gulf region.​ (Read More...​)​​
