1. Sketch-Up Workshop

The sketch-Up workshop was organized by the ARE club and took place on Monday, 13 November 2017. The workshop was presented by Mr. Abdurahman Alrobaie, a club member, where he discussed and introduced the basic tools and principles of 3D design. The workshop also includes an active learning session were students allowed to use ARE-LAB computers to apply the knowledge acquired from the workshop.

2. Building Information Modelling (BIM) and Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) Webinar

The BIM and VDC webinar was organized by the ARE club and took place on Tuesday, December 12, 2017. The webinar was presented by Dr. Mazharudding Syed Ahmed, an expert in BIM and VDC. The webinar talked about disruptive technology in terms of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and how virtual design and construction techniques will be integrated to the architectural engineering curriculum.
