A site trip to the Precast-Prestressed (PRAINSA) in Dammam was organized on 6th of November, 2017. The trip was organized for the CE 303, CE 315, and CE 501 students. The field trip objectives were to acquire knowledge about the precast concrete elements and the different construction processes. The students were welcomed by the technical manager Eng. Adil Iqbal who is a graduate of KFUPM and his colleagues. Eng. Adil guided the students about the different techniques of precast and prsestressing for various concrete elements like walls columns and beams at the plant. The trip was very important to the students to correlate between the theory and what is taught in class. The students asked very important questions during the trip that showed their interest in the subject but also were prepared to make their own observations and contributions. Drs. Salah Al-Dulaijan and Mohammed Al-Osta organized the trip with the support of the Civil Engineering Club which provided the ride to the plant.
