The Safety in the Chemistry department is taken care by the Safety committee. The Committee has representatives from both Chemistry faculty as well as staff. The committee oversees policies and procedures pertaining to the safe handling, transport and use of chemicals and chemical waste; and formulates solutions and reviews protocols involving hazardous chemicals. The committee is entrusted to promote understanding of hazards and risks associated with chemistry laboratories.
