حقق الطالب احمد بن سالم الجميل من قسم الكيمياء بالجامعة المشارك في المؤتمر الوطني للجمعية الكيميائية الامريكية المقام في مدينة سان دييقو في الولايات المتحدة الامريكية في الفترة من ١٣-١٧ مارس ٢٠١٦ 

انجازاً ببحثه العلمي المشارك في المؤتمر والذي تم تحكيمه بتقدير "امتياز" للمادة العلمية و مهارات الالقاء من قبل علماء و دكاترة مختصين بمجال الكيمياء البيئة.

وخلاصة البحث تكمن في تحضير مادة من جزيئات النانو والجرافين و بولي امايد لها خاصية تنقية المياه الملوثة في الصناعة من المعادن السامة و الخطيرة على البيئة مثل الزئبق و الرصاص والنحاس و الكروم من خلال خاصية الامتصاص.

Mr. Ahmed S. AlJameel, an undergrad student in the Chemistry department, participated in ACS National Meeting held in San Diego. His work was judged by the American Chemical Society as outstanding for the material content and manner of presentation given before the Division of Chemical Education. He was awarded for his research contribution. Mr. AlJameel research work is related to the synthesis of materials containing polyamide grafted on silver-graphene nansheets. The prepared materials were tested for the removal of mercury, lead, and chromium from aqueous solutions.

Mr. AlJameel is working under the supervision of Dr. Tawfik Saleh, Assistant Professor of Analytical Chemistry.​
