Title | Coordination Polymers or Metal-Organic Frameworks: Synthesis, Structural and Photochemical [2+2] Cycloaddition Studies |
Abstract | Coordination polymers (or metal-organic frameworks) are rapidly emerging inorganic–organic solid state materials and have drawn ever-increasing scientific and technological interest due to their widespread application such as gas storage/separation, catalysis, ion exchange, drug delivery and optoelectronics etc. In the first part of the talk will present the design and synthesis of series of coordination polymers. The olefinic C=C bonds of spacer ligands were successfully oriented in several coordination polymers to direct solid-state synthesis of cyclobutane products by photochemical [2+2] cycloaddition reaction. The second part of the talk will discuss the design and synthesis of MOFs for CO2 capture. |
