Title

Short Lived Clustering And CH Selection for Serving User Application Efficiently.

Description

You are cordially invited by the COE/ICS, to attend a Graduate Seminar, on the above given title, by Mr. Ahmed Mansoor Al-Ameri, MS Student, COE Department, Tuesday, 07th May, 2013, at  02:30 PM, in Building 22, Room 132.

Abstract: The theme of current work is to propose a generic WSN architecture that provide support for tasks of diverse user applications; temporary -applications. In the proposed framework we focus on two issues of multiple applications supporting network. The most prominent are careful deployment of heterogenic sensor nodes in the area of interest and Cluster Head election procedure and Re-clustering mechanism. Properly designed and optimally connected network can provide better ability, longevity, affectivity and robustness There are many deployment strategies that have been proposed so far like adaptive, hierarchical, ring, mesh and star etc. All these strategies are efficient in their domain and have their own merits but clustering, another method of grouping sensor nodes, has numerous advantages and key features over other strategies.

About the speaker: Mr. Ahmed Mansoor Al-Ameri obtained his Bachelor degree in Computer Information System from Al-Ahgaff University Mukalla-Hadhramout-Yemen in 2009. He is pursuing his education at KFUPM , COE department, Computer Networks MS program. He is interested in wireless sensor network, and confidentiality in cloud computing.
