COE INFORMATION ITEMS FOR COE COUNCIL
MEETING
Ø Workshop on C4ISR Topic Attendance: Based on invitation from KACST,
Riyadh and the University approval, on February 2, 2014, Dr. Basem Almadani,
Chairman, COE Department, attended the Workshop on Command Control
Communication and Computing Intelligence (C4ISR) Topic at KACST, Riyadh.
Ø Visitor from Saudi Aramco, Safaniya: Based on COE Department Chairman’s
invitation Engr. Mohammed A. Hefzi, Superintendent, Safaniya Offshore Producing
Department, Saudi Aramco, Dhahran, visited the COE Department Labs (RFID Lab
and Wireless Sensor Networks Lab. He met
the COE Department Chairman, Dr. Tarek Sheltami and Dr. Muhammad Wasim Raad,
Labs Coordinators, and discussed academic/labs issues.
Ø EMC Meeting: A meeting of Dean, CCSE, Chairmen of
COE and ICS Departments with EMC Representative was held on Monday, 3/2/2014 at
3:30 p.m. in 22-105.
Ø Short course offering: The Cisco Academy Short Course CCNA1
“Introduction to Networks” is being offered by the COE Department. There are 20
participants in this course.
