GE (Bently-Nevada) made a presentation on December 26, 2011 during the Instrumentation class (EE-434) where they introduced some diagnostic instrumentation methods that GE provides to the mechanical machinery of the oil and gas industry in the Kingdom and elsewhere. They also made a DEMO on one of the setups that uses their technology. Students saw some real life applications of what they are studying in Electrical Engineering. The EE department plans to invite GE to present in its graduate seminar next semester as well.
