Dr. Sharif Iqbal delivers talk at Universities in Dhaka

Dr. Sheikh Sharif Iqbal, Associate Professor at EE, presented a talk titled "Design of Meander line LTE antenna" at the Islamic University of Technology, Dhaka, on Tuesday, July 26, 2011. [Read more]

He also delivered a talk titled “Design of Printed Antennas for 4G Communication Devices” at the American International University, Bangladesh on July 31, 2011.
 
Long Term Evolution (LTE) is the fourth generation of Cellular Network (4G) solution that promises significantly higher data rates for both up & download, thereby enabling a wide variety of Internet Protocol (IP) services such as Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and online gaming.

Dr. Iqbal presented the theory and design process of a printed antenna like Meander Line Antenna (MLA) for LTE handsets during the seminar. He also talked about the design and optimization of a MIMO Antenna for LTE devices. Apart from the technical design and theory, Dr. Iqbal also discussed state of art regarding online teaching tools for engineering education. [Read more]
