11 faculty and students from ESD, CPM(RI), and PETE travelled to California, USA on January 17th, 2012 to participate in a joint field trip with Stanford University. The trip was organized under the trilateral agreement between Saudi Aramco-Stanford-KFUPM and lasted for 8 days. The participants will joined faculty and students from Stanford in a trip to Death Valley which has interesting geological features that resembles in some part the geology of parts of Saudi Arabia
