Facial Expression Detection Using Features of Salient Facial Patches
Abstract:
Facial expression is consider one of the core function in human computer interaction like
face to face human computer interaction, As per the research 55% of the message is conveys through human face. We implemented the detection of facial expression from salient facial patches, using Local Binary Pattern (LBP) feature extraction technique and Support Vector Machine (SVM) the classification technique. In this seminar we will briefly describe the different facial expression detection techniques especially LBP technique and will show our results as well.
Biography:
Faisal Sajjad is a Master student in ICS department KFUPM, He got his BS degree from International Islamic University Islamabad, Pakistan. Before joining KFUPM, he worked with Software Industry in UAE as a Software Developer, his area of interest is in Computer Vision, Human Computer Interaction and Game Development.
