Description:

Following topics will be covered:

(1) PRINCIPLES OF GAS INJECTION AS A RECOVERY PROCESS: Natural depletion mechanism, primary recovery method, different drive mechanisms, Index drive, Material balance principle  (2) FUNDAMENTALS OF GAS INJECTION METHOD: Recovery efficiency, mechanisms of gas injection for secondary recovery process, Mobility ratio and sweep efficiency, dispersed gas injection method, Tarner method, external gas injection method  (3) MISCIBLE GAS INJECTION PROCESS: Fundamentals of miscible gas injection process, thermodynamic miscibility, ternary diagram, high pressure gas drive, miscibility pressure, enriched gas drive process, description of the process, conditions of miscibility, miscible slug injection

 

Who should attend:

Petroleum engineers, specifically production and reservoir engineers. This course will be also helpful for reservoir management groups and project managers.
