Applications of Gas and Liquid Chromatography

Introduction of the theory, applications, recent developments, advantages, and limitations of conventional and capillary gas chromatography (GC) and high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Course outlines are: 1. Basic theory and types of chromatography 2. Instrumentation of conventional gas chromatography 3. Column selection in gas chromatography 4. Quantitative and qualitative analysis in chromatography 5. Instrumentation of capillary gas chromatography 6. Special analytical techniques in capillary gas chromatography 7. Applications and recent developments in capillary gas chromatography 8. Instrumentation of high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) 9. Column selection in HPLC 10. Advantages, limitations, and applications of HPLC
This course is designed for laboratory technicians, chemists, engineers and technical managers whose concerns are quality control of chemical processes. To gain maximum benefit from this course, participants are preferred to have a chemical or engineering degree, or equivalent experience. The language of instruction is English.
