Description:

To the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with a gigantic network of oil pipelines and one of the largest, petrochemical industry in the world, an understanding of the sensor material and sensor technology is crucial to the integrity and health of the industry. Sensor basics, microelectronic materials, polymer matrix composite for microelectronics, cement based electronics, self sensing carbon fiber polymer matrix structural composites, conventional ceramic synthesis, material issues in thick films, defects and properties, microstructure and sensing properties, electrical and sensing properties. Fabrication and characteristics of oxygen, CO, NOx and other industrial sensors. The course would introduce the fundamentals of sensor materials and sensors technology to the participating engineers and scientists.

Practicing engineers, technicians, scientists and management personnel working in industry.  Engineers working in oil, gas and petrochemical industry would find the course to be specific interest.
