College of Environmental Design Architecture
Following topics will be covered: 1. Converting all sorts of file formats from common drawing software to Desktop Publishing software 2. Image Manipulation: The use of image processing applications to scan, manipulate text and photographs, as well as 3D Images (Adobe Photoshop) 3. Illustration and Page Layout: Using the latest releases of the leading illustration and page layout computer software (Macromedia Freehand and Adobe PageMaker, as well as other supporting software) 4. Presentation and Printing Techniques. The workshop portion of the course will familiarize participants with the use of the above computer applications and techniques on both the PC and Macintosh platforms and supporting peripherals. Participants will be given hands-on experience with real examples.
The course will benefit those individuals involved in the environmental design professions, such as architects, architectural engineers, landscape architects, interior designers, city planners, graphic designers, photographers, as well as educators, municipal officials and administrators.
