Digital Signal Processing: Fundamentals & Applications

The objective of this course is to introduce the participants to the fundamentals of digital signal processing (DSP), discuss some of its DSP hardware and highlight its wide-ranging applications of importance to the Kingdom. A novel aspect of this course is the multimedia approach used to teaching it. In addition to lectures, lab sessions will also be given where some practical examples, including sound and image signals, will be studied. These lab sessions will provide participants with ample hands-on practice to reinforce the theoretical knowledge gained in lectures.
Scientists or engineers already working or aspiring to work in DSP and managers eager to acquire an awareness and a working knowledge of the vast practical potential of DSP. Pre-Requisite: University degree/Industrial experience.
