Cluster Computing: Building, Administration
College of Computer Sciences & Engineering Information & Computer Science
This course introduces the participants to Beowulf class clusters. It deals with three issues: building a cluster from a set of PCs using a local area network; configuration and administration of such a cluster; and finally developing and running message-passing programs on this architecture. A cluster will be built during this course to demonstrate the practical issues related to building and administration to the participants. A number of example message-passing programs will be provided to allow the participants to gain hands-on experience with parallel programming in a cluster computing environment.
Engineers and programmers working on high-performance applications in various industries, including: oil, minerals, chemical, as well as IT.
Changes may take place on scheduling of short courses without any prior notice.
