Faculty Recruitment
Lecturers
in English as a Foreign Language
Started in 1963,
the English Language Center at KFUPM is responsible for preparing more
than 3,500 male students per year for study in English-medium courses
leading to the B.S. degree in science, engineering or management. The
Orientation English Program (OEP), where all
newly-hired faculty begin their careers at KFUPM, is a 20 hour
pre-university intensive course in English for academic purposes.
Longer-serving faculty can apply to fill openings in the
University English Program (UEP), a three-course, American-model
program of undergraduate writing beginning with freshman composition. The
Center currently employs nearly 90 faculty (American, Australian, British,
Canadian, Irish and South African) and is expanding.
We have opportunities for well-qualified, committed and experienced
teachers of English as a foreign language to start in September and
February each year. Applicants should be willing to teach in a structured,
intensive program to which they are encouraged to contribute ideas and
materials.
