Area 2. Control Systems

 |
Area 3. Electromagnetic

Area 4. Electronics
|
 |
Area 5. Energy and Power Systems
|
 |
Area 6. Digital Systems.

A minor area is defined as a specialized field or
discipline within a department, e.g. Numerical Analysis or Graph Theory
would serve as a minor area instead of Mathematics. Artificial Intelligence
as opposed to Computer Science. A selected area from above can also serve as
a minor area if it does not overlap with the major area.
The major and minor area should be related to the area of research and
specialization of the Ph.D. candidate. Therefore, in selecting them, the
student should have a clear idea of his research topic.
