The M.S. geology degree program is
completed in two years with the satisfactory completion of a total of 12 credit hours of
core courses, 12 credit hours of elective courses and, a 6-credit hour thesis project.
The admission requirements include graduation in geology or related sciences from
accredited institutions with a GPA of 3 or above (on a 4.0 scale) or equivalent; TOEFL
score of >520 and GRE passed at acceptable level. Students with a GPA of 2.5 - 3.0 are
also admitted with the "provisional student status".
