Visit of Prof. Saddon Morad

Dr. Morad of Uppsala University, Sweden Visited The Earth Sciences Dept. On 19 Dec 2004 and Delivered a Seminar Entitled " Linking Digenesis to Sequence Stratigraphy: a Better Way to Unravel Reservoir-Quality Evolution of Sandstone" 

Visit of Dr. Oliver Dubrle,

Dr. Oliver Dubrule, current President of the European Association of Geoscientists & Engineers (EAGE) paid a visit to the ESD on January 11, 2005.  During his visit to the campus he met with the Chairman of the ESD, Dr. Mustafa Hariri, and other faculty members in the department and discussed issues of mutual interest and collaboration.  After the meeting he took time to visit different academic and research labs including Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), Advanced Petrographic Microscope Lab, and the PC labs.  Dr. Durbule was impressed with the facilities available at the department.
