The Dean’s Office is a key department which is responsible to take care of all general and confidential functions generated by the Deanship under the close supervision of its Director who reports directly to the Dean of Faculty & Personnel Affairs.

 

The Dean’s Office plays an important role in providing effective services to all the departments operating under the Deanship, and also to various academic/administrative departments of the University as well as Government organizations. Other main functions of this office are highlighted below:

Receive all official mail, register and forward to the departments concerned for actions.

Handle all routine and confidential correspondence of the Deanship of Faculty & Personnel Affairs.

Take care of disposing all inward and outward correspondence letters, memos, faxes, and e-mails received by the Deanship every day.

Follow up with the departments and the responsible individuals concerned on pending cases for actions.

Keep record of all internal and outside appointments and set dates of meetings of the people concerned with the Dean of Faculty & Personnel Affairs.

Coordinate on delegated official matters with various academic/administrative department heads, college deans, vice rectors, and other executives of the University.

Keep the Dean well informed of his participation in various University official committees' meetings taking place from time to time, as well as other Government and the University Board meetings.

Receive, answer all internal and external phone calls, attend to all official and personal inquiries on various issues; and subsequently transmit important messages and information to the Dean for his attention and personal action.

Handle the Dean’s travel arrangements to visit Government and other organizations inside and outside the Kingdom as and when required.

Assure effective control of all aspects of official actions processed/generated by nine departments/units operating under the Deanship.
