KFUPM Search - Overview
Google is KFUPM's search engine. Google represents a significant enhancement to the University's web environment, providing:
- Better and quicker search results
- Advanced search features, including searching for PDF, .doc and .ppt files, and displaying them as HTML
- Easy and powerful search administration
- Easy integration into web sites
Bringing the Google search appliance into the KFUPM infrastructure allows us features such as:
ITC, which operates and maintains the KFUPM home page (http://www.kfupm.edu.sa), has implemented the Google search feature on the home and second-level pages of the KFUPM web site. ITC also supports and manages the University's central web infrastructure and services.
