The minimum requirements for possible admission to the College of Graduate Studies as a regular graduate student in mechanical engineering are:

1. A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent degree of a suitable background for entering the field of Mechanical Engineering, from an institution whose undergraduate program is equivalent in length, content, and quality to that of KFUPM;
2. A acceptable cumulative Graduate-Point Average (GPA) such as 3.00 or higher (on a 4-point scale) or a Major GPA of 3.00 (on a 4-point scale),
3. achieving minimum score of 520 in TOEFL,
4. achieving minimum score of 550 in GRE (Quantitative), and
5. satisfactorily meeting the University M. S. admission requirements.
