Initiate Coorporation

Faculty members who propose the King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals sign an international agreement with another institution should provide the Office of International Cooperation the following information via our e-office:

OIC will assist the initiating unit in the drafting of the proposed agreement. This may include assistance in modifying program features, as needed, to conform with KFUPM policies. OIC will also negotiate the terms of the agreement with the potential partner. Should the foreign institution request substantive changes, they must be cleared by KFUPM through OIC before the agreement text can be altered.

Approval Process

As part of the approval process, the draft agreement will also include review by additional administrative units whenever relevant to a particular agreement. As a general principle, all pertinent KFUPM units will be involved to help assure expert assistance and comprehensive review of each proposed international agreement. Offices likely to be involved will include but not necessarily be limited to: Office of International Cooperation, and Legal Affairs.

After review by the above units, OIC will submit the final version to the applicable Vice Rector for review and finally submitted to the Rector’s office for a final decision on approval.
