Advancements and Innovations for a better future

Saudi Arabia is currently the hub of polymer industries, particularly polyolefins (PO).  At present, it is the 4^th largest polyolefin producer in the world.  Currently eight petrochemical companies are producing polyolefins. The total polyolefin production will increase from 14 mmta to 19.78 mmta by 2010. The number of local plastic converters/processers exceeds 1,000. Therefore, King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM) at Dhahran, Saudi Arabia continues to enhance its polymer research program.  One of the important activities of this program is to organize regular workshops.

Workshop Objective

Serve as a forum to exchange knowledge and expertise in polymerization catalysts, production technologies, processing, and end-use application.
