The Security &
Safety department was established as early as 1971. It is headed by
a Director General and assisted by a Director, an Assistant Director
and several Supervisors. In the year 1996, its name was changed
from Security Department to Security & Safety
Department.
FUNCTIONS
-
The primary
function and responsibility of the Security & Safety Department
is to maintain safety and security of the University community
and its properties by providing protection 24 hours a day.

The department
is well-equipped with modern devices to provide the best
security services to the University community.

The department
also provides protocol for high-ranking officials and guests
visiting the University, both from inside and outside the
Kingdom.

The department
regularly inspects the safety and extinguishing devices in
academic and residential buildings to ensure their operational
conditions in emergencies.
