The Security & Safety department was established as early as 1971.  It is headed by a Director General and assisted by a Director, an Assistant Director and several Supervisors.  In the year 1996, its name was changed from Security Department to Security & Safety Department

FUNCTIONS

  • The primary function and responsibility of the Security & Safety Department is to maintain safety and security of the University community and its properties by providing  protection 24 hours a day.

  • The department is well-equipped with modern devices to provide the best security services to the University community.  

  • The department also provides protocol for high-ranking officials and guests visiting the University, both from inside and outside the Kingdom.

  • The department regularly inspects the safety and extinguishing devices in academic and residential buildings to ensure their operational conditions in emergencies.
